Pan Seared Fish and Shrimp

Pan Seared Fish with Shrimp is an easy restaurant style seafood classic and perfect for a delish light bite while things heat up outside

Ingredients
  

  • 4 fish fillets mild tasting white fish is best
  • 1/2 lb uncooked shrimp
  • 1 TBS cajun seasoning
  • 1 TBS garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 TBS garlic minced
  • 1/2 smoked sausage link chopped (optional)
  • 1 md lemon juice fresh
  • 1/2 c white wine dry
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 TBS butter unsalted
  • 3 TBS olive oil extra virgin
  • more salt and pepper and spices to taste

Instructions
 

  • Lightly brush seafood with 1/3 of the oil
  • Sprinkle evenly 1/3 of the spices (cajun seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper)
  • on both sides
  • In a heated skillet, add remaining olive oil.
  • Lightly brown fish and shrimp. This should take about 2-3 minutes do not cook all the way
  • remove from pan and set aside
  • add butter crisp sausage about 2-3 minutes
  • then add garlic cook until fragrant
  • wine and lemon juice cook for an additional 2-3 minutes
  • add cream cook stir well
  • return fish and shrimp to pan cover and cook until seafood is done
  • about 3-4 minutes
  • remove from heat
  • serve and enjoy!
