HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I launched @Crys_Kitchen in June 2019, after years of serving up delish dishes to family and friends and asked too many times to count how I made that? The name Crys Kitchen came from a gal pal in a conversation about my popular fried chicken and the rest led you here.

Define your niche, post high-quality photography, and write compelling content. Find other blogs that you admire and take note of what you like about them. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy!

Don’t get me wrong I love coffee, I mean GOTTA have it, I need it in my life, and as much as I love coffee it’s a no friend. HOW DID YOU LEARN SOCIAL MEDIA, WEB DEVELOPMENT, PHOTOGRAPHY, ETC?
The Internet – no really, google, youtube, and pinterest have been my main source of all things online business building. Things I stay buried reading and studying are “how to build a WordPress website?”, “how to take food photos”, “how does Instagram work”, “how to make a video?” etc. I totally taught myself everything that it takes to run a blog – photography, social media, web development, copywriting, and more.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING?
10+ years, this is actually my second blog I’m a retired hairstylist and had a blog that built my salon clientele back in 2011.
WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
I live in Houston, Texas. I’m a rare and proud native Houstonian
WHO TAKES YOUR PHOTOS?
I do it all. A very large percentage of the content you see is shot by me. I shoot every photo and video that you see on the blog and social media. Any photos or videos of me that are shot by other photographers or bloggers are credited below the photo.
WHAT DO YOU USE TO SHOOT YOUR INSTAGRAM PHOTOS?
Usually for the ‘gram I use the iPhone mainly because it’s hella convenient, but on occasion especially when filming a video, I’ll whip out a Canon, and a SONY camcorder. For edits when using the Canon, if needed, I’ll edit the photos on Adobe Photoshop CC. Be sure to follow me at @Crys_Kitchen if you don’t already!
